Ohio state has a population of about 11.5 million residents,
making it the 7th most populous state in the US. The current
capital of Ohio is Columbus. It is popularly known as the "Buckeye State" because of high prevalence of Buckeye trees.
The people of Ohio are also often refereed to as the "Buckeyes". Ohio State bears several other
Nicknames such as the Birthplace of Aviation, The Mother of Presidents;

The Plain Dealer.
The Plain Dealer is the most widely
distributed newspaper in the state of Ohio. It is
published in Cleveland, Ohio with an average daily paid circulation of
over 3oo,000. It is ranked over every single
newspaper in the country for Sunday newspaper readership
and second only to New York times in daily newspaper readership.
It was founded in 1842 and it's currently under the ownership of Advance Publications.

The Columbus Dispatch.
The Columbus Dispatch serves the
central part of Ohio and is published in Columbus, Ohio.
It was established in July 1, 1871. Columbus Dispatch
has an estimated daily circulation of about 199,000 and
Sunday circulation of about 334,000. The newspaper which
is privately owned by the Wolfe family, has remained the
mainstream newspaper in central Ohio since the closure
of The Columbus Citizen-Journal in 1985.

The Cincinnati Enquirer.
The Cincinnati Enquirer is the most widely circulated print publication in
Greater Cincinnati and
Northern Kentucky.
The Enquirer publishes various
other print media for Ohio and Kentucky. The newspaper was
established and first published April 10, 1841 and was
one of the first newspapers to have a Sunday edition.

Dayton Daily News.
The Dayton Daily News is a broadsheet newspaper owned by
Cox Enterprises (headquartered in Sandy Springs,
Georgia), but is published in Dayton, Ohio. Cox
Enterprises publishes other daily newspapers and journals.
It also has subsidiaries that provide cable television, digital telephone, high-speed internet and radio stations. Dayton Daily News
was founded in 1898 by James Middleton Cox
but is now being managed by daughter Anne Cox Chambers.
It was originally published under the name; Dayton Evening News.
It has an estimated daily circulations of 116,000 and
Sunday circulations of about 157,833.

The Blade is daily newspaper that
was established December 19, 1835 and is produced
in Toledo, Ohio. The Blade has an estimated average daily
circulation of about 104,000. The newspaper has won
several awards for investigative and credible news
reporting, It is owned and operated by the media conglomerate, Block Communications,
which also owns Buckeye Express (an Internet service network)
and cable systems.

Akron Beacon Journal.
Akron Beacon Journal is one of the
highest circulating (estimated daily circulation
slightly over 99,000) newspapers in United states. It is published daily (weekends also
included) in Akron, Ohio and covers local news, sports, business, jobs, and community events.
It is published by Black Press Ltd, and has won the Pulitzer Prize award for achievements in newspaper journalism
- four times. The newspaper was founded in 1897 when Akron Evening Journal merged with Summit Beacon(
which was founded in 1839).

Tribune Chronicle.
The Tribune Chronicle was created
by the merger of Warren Tribune and the Chronicle on
April 26, 1924. It is a daily morning newspaper serving
Warren and the Mahoning Valley area of Ohio State. It is
owned by the Ogden Newspapers of Wheeling, West
Virginia. The Tribune Chronicle has a daily circulation of about 35,000.

The Vindicator.
The Vindicator is a daily newspaper
that is printed in Youngstown, Ohio and serves residents
of the City and the surrounding region. It was founded
in 1869 and has an estimated daily and Sunday
circulations of 62,100 and 87,000 respectively. It is a
family owned newspaper, but it is
run by the Vindicator Printing Company which also runs WFMJ-TV Channel.
It is reliable source of local news, sports news, weather report
and more.
